Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a System Technologist in Huntsville, AL to upgrade customer servers, migrate databases, and ensure SLA-driven support. You will work with the deployment team and other MSI groups to resolve issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Applicants should have 2+ years in technical customer support or business analysis, and be able to obtain required background clearance. Base salary range $60,000-$65,000 with standard U.S. benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows and Linux servers; Linux command line basics.
• Experience with SQL PostgreSQL or similar databases.
• Experience with nginx and tomcat web services.
• Basic network and infrastructure knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot across hardware, networking and third party components.
• Scripting with Bash and Windows executables.
• Customer service experience and strong communication skills.
• Own issues to resolution with strong ownership and follow-through.
• Strong interpersonal skills; well organized and able to multitask.
• Willing to learn and suggest improvements; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with Motorola Flex software suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade customer servers with the latest software release.
• Migrate legacy databases into new database structures.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through support and SLA delivery.
• Collaborate with MSI teams to provide exceptional service and resolve issues.
