Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a System Technologist to upgrade customer servers, migrate databases, ensure satisfaction under SLAs, and collaborate with internal teams for robust technical support.

The role requires strong server, database, and networking knowledge, plus excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The position is based in the United States and involves working in a high-security CJIS environment with eligibility for background clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows and Linux servers; basics of Linux command line and file structure.
• Experience with SQL, specifically PostgreSQL schema structures or other relational DB structures.
• Experience with nginx and tomcat web services.
• Basic network and infrastructure knowledge.
• Troubleshooting application system issues including hardware, networking, and third-party components.
• Bash scripts and Windows scripting/executables.
• Customer service/support experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must own customer issues and drive resolution to satisfaction.
• Able to handle multiple tasks with good time management.
• Positive attitude in high-stress situations.
• Willingness to learn and suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

• Upgrade customer servers with the latest software release.
• Migrate legacy databases into new database structures.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through support and contracted SLAs.
• Collaborate with MSI teams to provide exceptional customer service and support, and troubleshoot issues.
