You will support MIL-STD-882E compliant safety programs, analyze hardware and schematics, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to define, implement, and verify safety requirements while preserving system performance.

The role emphasizes hazard analysis, risk assessment, and the preparation of safety reports and briefs for customer reviews.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience implementing MIL-STD-882E system safety programs.
• Proficiency with MIL-STD-882 tasks: management, analysis, evaluation and verification.
• Ability to analyze hardware, schematics, and safety requirements.
• Develop concise, testable safety requirements.
• Strong hazard analysis and risk assessment skills.
• Experience communicating safety findings to customers and program teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing MIL-STD-882E safety programs on assigned projects.
• Perform system safety tasks: management, analysis, evaluation, verification.
• Analyze hardware and schematics for fault tolerance and hazards.
• Review test procedures to ensure safety controls are in place.
• Collaborate with product teams to mitigate hazards and enforce safety controls.
• Prepare Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Briefs for customers.
• Brief safety status in technical reviews and support approval processes.
