Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer in Tucson, AZ to develop MIL STD 882E compliant system safety programs and perform hazard analyses, design analyses and system safety planning.

You will work across product teams, coordinate with customer safety representatives and government authorities, brief safety considerations at technical reviews, and prepare internal and customer reports describing analyses.

Qualifications

• Experience developing MIL STD 882E compliant system safety programs.
• Perform system safety planning, hazard analyses and design analyses.
• Coordinate with multiple product teams and customer safety representatives.
• Ability to obtain security clearance. US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MIL STD 882E system safety programs and tasks (planning, hazard analyses, design analyses, verification).
• Brief safety considerations at technical reviews and safety approval processes.
• Prepare internal and customer reports describing analyses related to the system safety program.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to understand product architecture and ensure safety allocations.
