Job summary

TNMP is seeking a System Protection Engineer at multiple levels to perform complex protection studies and settings development for a broad electric system footprint in Texas. You will analyze disturbances, ensure NERC/CIP compliance, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with field teams.

Ideal candidates hold ABET‑accredited engineering degrees, PE/FE credentials, and hands-on experience with protection software and high‑voltage systems up to 345 kV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• FE/PE license or master's degree preferred for higher levels.
• Experience with protection systems and relay settings desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform short circuit, overcurrent and distance coordination studies.
• Develop protective relay settings for new or existing projects.
• Analyze disturbances and suggest mitigation in line with NERC CIP.
• Provide technical direction to field personnel and contractors.
