Job summary

TNMP is seeking a System Protection Engineer I–IV or Principal Engineer to perform complex engineering work ensuring safe, reliable electric service. The role involves conducting protective studies, developing relay settings, and supporting compliance with NERC CIP standards while collaborating with field personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer I–IV/Principal Engineer levels require increasing years of experience and PE/license as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform short circuit, overcurrent and distance coordination studies using ASPEN Oneliner.
• Calculate and develop protective relay settings for new projects or modify existing settings as required to maintain system reliability.
• Analyze system disturbances and propose mitigation plans compliant with NERC PRC-004.
• Review relaying one line, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams and other relay design deliverables.
• Provide technical direction to field personnel and training to junior staff.
