An established industry player is seeking a Project Lead to oversee major data systems within their bureau. This role involves coordinating project operations, managing complex assignments, and ensuring effective change management across large relational databases. This position is the assigned Project Lead for our bureau’s multiple major data systems. Responsibilities include coordinating and directing project and change management operations for the MCIR, MDSS, SUP, and Body Art systems. This involves participating in IT projects, investigating/validating system issues, drafting and scoping requirements for new or enhanced system functionalities or reports, and prioritizing defect fixes and enhancements aligned with business priorities.
The role involves managing complex assignments and activities, recognizing change management priorities impacting system operations, and setting priorities for all systems. These systems are large, relational databases with hundreds of users statewide and a complex funding approach, requiring ongoing management and cross-user coordination.
This position is housed in the Division of Data Systems and Operations and reports to the Data Systems Section Manager.

The physical location is 333 South Grand Avenue, Lansing, MI. Remote or hybrid work requests may be considered based on operational needs, with the requirement to work within Michigan.
Employees must provide their own remote work setup, including a secure location, high-speed internet, and utilities.
