Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a System Administrator in Longview, TX to manage and improve IT infrastructure supporting healthcare operations, with focus on security, availability, and performance. You’ll work with FortiGate firewalls, Windows Server and AD, virtualization, backup, and cloud services.

You will collaborate with help desk, IT leadership, and vendors to resolve complex issues, maintain compliance (HIPAA), and drive projects, upgrades, and documentation to ensure reliable IT services

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years in systems or network administration.
• FortiGate firewall configuration and VPN expertise.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory experience (2016+).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).
• Backup and disaster recovery tools; testing and scheduling.
• Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration and security.
• Software deployment/patch management (SCCM/Intune).
• VoIP systems configuration and maintenance.
• HIPAA security/compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor FortiGate firewalls and network security across locations.
• Administer Windows Server environments, AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Configure and maintain virtualization and VM provisioning.
• Design and oversee backup and disaster recovery plans and tests.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services and Entra ID (SSO and access).
• Deploy software updates using SCCM/Intune and ensure patch compliance.
• Collaborate with help desk and leadership; provide escalation support.
• Maintain system documentation and topology diagrams.
• Support infrastructure projects and vendor management.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and security controls across IT.
