Job summary

Paycom - ATS seeks an IT Systems Administrator to maintain a secure, HIPAA-compliant environment across clinical sites. You will support clinicians and staff, administer the EHR/telehealth platforms, and ensure uptime, backups, and disaster recovery.

The role covers on-prem and Azure/M365, IAM, and security controls while collaborating with Compliance and vendor teams. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in healthcare IT, Windows Server and AD expertise, and scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT systems administration in healthcare or regulated industry.
• Solid knowledge of HIPAA Security Rule requirements and compliance practices.
• Experience with Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP and M365 administration.
• Ability to manage EHR platforms, telehealth tools, and integrations.
• Proficient scripting with PowerShell and Python for automation.
• Experience with backups, DR, monitoring, and incident response.
• Strong customer-facing support with empathetic communication.

Responsibilities

• Administer HIPAA controls, audit logs, encryption, and access management.
• Lead risk assessments, audits, remediation tracking, and BAAs with vendors.
• Provide Tier 2/3 help desk support for clinicians and staff.
• Manage on-premises and cloud Azure/M365 infrastructure and backups.
• Monitor uptime, runbooks, patch cadences, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Administer EHR platforms, user provisioning, SSO/SAML, and HL7/FHIR data exchange.
• Coordinate with telehealth vendors and support clinical system projects.
