Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator in Maryland to install, administer, and optimize Windows-based systems in a mission-critical environment. You will manage Active Directory, security controls, and virtualization across a distributed network while coordinating with stakeholders. The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, U.S.

citizenship, and the ability to travel occasionally. You will contribute to CM/Dev workflows, scripting, and documentation efforts to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field with 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience as a systems administrator providing direct support to end users and technical staff
• Proficiency with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory
• Experience with deployment, patches, OS, and backup/restore
• Experience with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, and Nessus
• Experience with Red Hat and VMware
• Understanding of advanced security protocols and standards
• Experience with client and server virtualization environments
• Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and reimaging hardware
• Knowledge of information security principles and practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel occasionally
• US Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance
• Preferred: SQL Server, Python scripting, CM/Dev environments, Agile, PKI with HSMs and NTP
• Knowledge of PowerShell and PowerCLI
• Experience documenting security accreditation and certification

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical field and at least 8 years of relevant experience; additional experience may be substituted for a degree


• Experience as a systems administrator providing direct support to end users and technical staff


• Proficiency with Windows Server 2019 and Active Directory


• Experience with software/hardware deployment, patches, operating systems, and basic system backup and restore functions


• Experience with or familiarity with SALT, Ansible, Splunk, Puppet, SolarWinds, and Nessus


• Experience with or knowledge of Red Hat and VMWare


• Solid understanding of advanced security protocols and standards


• Experience with both client and server virtualization environments


• Experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and reimaging hardware


• Solid understanding of information security principles and practices


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


• Ability to support occasional day or short duration travel


• U.S. Citizenship


• TS/SCI Security Clearance with an appropriate Polygraph


• Preferred: Proficiency with SQL Server
