Onyx Point, Inc. seeks a senior Linux Administrator with active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

The role focuses on Linux server administration, Windows integration, and automation using Ansible and Puppet. You will support VDI environments and high-availability infrastructure across multiple clients and networks. The position requires 15+ years of SA experience in similar programs, a technical bachelor's degree, and the ability to work within

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience as a systems administrator or SA in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve complex server hardware, application, and software integration issues.
• Configure and manage Linux OS alongside Windows 10/11 and Windows Server using automation tools (Ansible, Puppet).
• Install, troubleshoot, and enhance OS and network components for reliability and performance.
• Provide day-to-day IT operations support for clients/servers/network devices.
• Support patch management and hardware issue resolutions.
• Deliver end-user support (help desk) across all levels (in-person and remote).
• Manage Omnissa/VMware Horizon environments to deliver high-performance VDI and app virtualization.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION YOU MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI W/ FULL SCOPE POLYGRAPH SECURITY CLEARANCE (U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED)

Technology: Senior Linux Admin

Role:

• Linux Administration - Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.
• Configure and manage Linux operating systems alongside Windows 10/11 and Windows Server with automated tools such as Ansible and Puppet
• Install/load operating systems software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the clients/servers/network devices.
• Provide support for the patching systems and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
• End-User Support: Help desk support across all levels (both in-person and via phone)
• Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) & App Virtualization: Manage Omnissa Horizon (formerly VMware Horizon) environments to deliver high-performance VDI and application virtualization to end users.

Nice to have:

• Experience with monitoring dashboards using SCANBOY or LatteArt
• Familiarity with enclave support
• Infrastructure: NetApp storage management and Network administration desired

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Shall have a minimum of fifteen (15) years’ experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in technical discipline is required

Compensation: We are committed to providing fair and competitive compensation. The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $250,000 per year. This range reflects the compensation offered across the locations where we hire. The exact salary will be determined based on the candidate's work location, specific role, skill set, and level of expertise.
