Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a System Administrator 2 to support the implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, configuration, monitoring, operation, and problem resolution of IT systems and infrastructure, including UNIX and Windows operating systems, network components, and client/server/storage/network devices.

The role requires DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification and active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph eligibility; a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent 14 years SA

Qualifications

• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAM I is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with ten years SA experience is required or fourteen total years with 4 extra SA years in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Manage IT system infrastructure and related processes.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and related network components.
• Support day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices.

Position Summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a System Administrator 2 to support the implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, configuration, monitoring, operation, and problem resolution of IT systems and infrastructure, including UNIX and Windows operating systems, network components, and client/server/storage/network devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.
• Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.
• Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
• Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
• Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Required Qualifications

• Meet an applicable education and experience pathway in the equivalency section for SA experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAM I is required.

Required Education and Experience Equivalency

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university with Ten (10) years' experience as a SA on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree with Four (4) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a total of fourteen (14) years.

Required Certifications

• DoD 8570 IAM Level I certification required - one of: CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, HCISPP.

Required Security Clearance

• Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
