Job summary

Eaton is hiring an early career Electrical Engineer to support switchgear modernization. You will design retrofit solutions, verify electrical and mechanical systems, and travel to customer sites for measurements and installations.

The program includes structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience across power distribution projects. A degree in engineering and relocation flexibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering with graduation before Aug 2027.
• Minimum GPA 2.8 overall.
• Must be willing to relocate within the United States and complete a structured training program.

Responsibilities

• Follow EESS safety policies in shop and field environments.
• Travel to customer sites to collect field measurements and assess equipment.
• Design retrofit solutions for switchgear using CAD with drawings and BOMs.
• Test, troubleshoot, and validate electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, and customers to resolve challenges.
• Support quoting, application engineering, and project proposals.
