Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Sumter, SC facility is seeking a Switchboard Assembler on B Shift. The role involves selecting and installing components for switchboards, following drawings and blueprints, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

The position pays $16.75 per hour with eligibility for a variable incentive program. Work hours are set on the B shift with openings in main floor, set-up, and closeout areas, located in Sumter, South Carolina.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Experience in complex assembly operations or assembly requiring drawings or diagrams.
• Experience with measuring devices (i.e. tape measure and calipers).
• Experience reading blueprints, manufacturing diagrams or drawings, or operating instructions

Responsibilities

• Assemble switchboards/panelboards and verify quality using hand and power tools.
• Use drawings/diagrams to manufacture switchboards.
• Communicate with team to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Cross-train and stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary.
• Identify missing components and address issues to maintain production flow
