Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is hiring a Panelboard Production Associate for the Sumter, SC facility. The role operates on 1st/B Shift, Monday-Friday, 5:00am-1:30pm.

The position pays $16.75 per hour and is eligible for the employee variable incentive program. The assembler will use drawings, BOMs, and blueprints to manufacture custom switchboards and panelboards, while focusing on safety, quality and productivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• U.S. work authorized without sponsorship.
• Able to read drawings/front views/diagrams and BOMs.
• Computer literate.
• Lean concepts knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including PPE and 5S duties.
• Assemble switchboards/panelboards from drawings/BOMs/front views; identify missing components.
• Utilize hand tools to install material per established procedures.
• Maintain progress and communicate issues or part shortages.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure quality via visual inspections and troubleshoot nonconforming parts.
• Cross-train and stand in for other functions when necessary.
