Job summary

Crawford Thomas Recruiting is seeking a Custom Swimming Pool Sales & Design Consultant in Florida. You’ll capitalize on a year-round, high-volume selling season, converting qualified leads, and delivering elite Gunite pool designs through 3D renderings.

As a 1099 independent contractor, you’ll manage a large sales pipeline, close high-ticket deals, and benefit from an uncapped commission structure with ramp-up support and company-provided leads.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of successful outside sales in high-ticket environment.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect and generate leads independently is valued.
• Strong eye for design and aesthetics; 3D design software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Consultative selling with in-home and on-site consultations using qualified leads and self-generation.
• Translate client vision into Gunite pools, spas, and outdoor living spaces.
• Create 3D renderings and proposals to close high-ticket sales.
• Close sales professionally and communicate long-term value of the project.
• Develop knowledge of local market codes and developments.

Custom Swimming Pool Sales & Design Consultant

Markets: Duval and St. Johns, FL

Compensation: Commission Based and uncapped ($75k-$125k OTE YEAR 1 & $150k-$200k+ OTE Year 2)

Job Type: Full-Time, Independent Contractor (1099), Outside Sales

Paid training & Ramp-up plan: Company provides monthly stipends (totaling $30k-$40k) spread out through the first 6 months to help Designers ramp up and start seeing a consistent flow of commission. This is NOT a draw (NOT subject to repay); Designers will remain eligible to earn commission during this period!

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Sales Execution (Your Core Focus)
  • Consultative Selling: Conduct professional in-home and on-site consultations with potential buyers. You will manage a large flow of company-provided, qualified leads, while also driving your own success through self-generation.
  • Master Design: Translate a client’s vision into a stunning reality by designing custom Gunite (concrete) pools, spas, and complete outdoor living environments.
  • 3D Presentation: Utilize professional 3D design software (e.g., Pool Studio) to create compelling, detailed visual renderings and proposals.
  • Closing: Close high-ticket sales efficiently and professionally.
  • Value Communication: Master the art of demonstrating how the company's national scale and superior construction standards deliver the best long-term value to the customer.
• Lead Generation & Market Management
  • Pipeline Development: Actively engage in self-generation of leads through networking, builder relationships, and community engagement to supplement the many leads provided by the company.
  • Local Expertise: Develop a working knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and new residential developments in your market.

Qualifications

• Sales Drive: Minimum of 2+ years of successful outside sales experience in a high-ticket, commission-driven environment (e.g., home improvement, custom remodeling, or luxury products).
• Lead Generation Acumen: Demonstrated history or ability to prospect and generate leads independently is highly valued.
• Design Aptitude (Required): A strong eye for design and aesthetics. Prior experience with 3D design software is a significant advantage.
• Pool Knowledge (Preferred): Familiarity with the swimming pool industry, particularly the benefits and construction phases of Gunite/Concrete pools, is desirable.
• Professionalism: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and a polished presence.
• Self-Management: Highly organized, self-motivated, and disciplined to manage a large, active sales pipeline and territory independently.
