Job summary

Villa Sport in Cypress, TX is seeking a part-time swim instructor to lead group and private swim lessons safely and effectively.

You’ll motivate members to improve technique and water confidence while following all safety protocols and communicating clearly. Prior teaching experience or ARC Lifeguard certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with aquatics industry.
• Swimming proficiency.
• Minimum 1 year instructing swim lessons preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum 16 years of age and ARC Lifeguard Certification (including CPR/First Aid/AED) or 18+ with ARC First Aid/CPR/AED.
• High School diploma preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to effectively conduct group swim lessons and individual swim lessons in a safe and responsible manner. Motivate members and guests to increase swim technique, comfort in the water are self-confidence. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
