Job summary

Villa Sport Swim Team is seeking a part-time coach to work closely with the Head Swim Coach in developing, coordinating, and managing the Villa Sport Swim Team in a safe and responsible manner.

This role requires you to be organized, self-motivated, and able to operate with minimal supervision, with a focus on competitive swimming experience, safety certification, and ongoing opportunities within our energetic club.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with aquatics industry.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Competitive swimming background or coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate the Villa Sport Swim Team under the Head Coach.
• Ensure safety and supervision during practices and events.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and staff.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position works closely with the Head Swim Coach in developing, coordinating, and managing the Villa Sport Swim Team in a safe and responsible manner. This person will be provided with general supervision by the Aquatics Director and will need to be organized, self-motivated, resourceful, and able to successfully manage the programs with minimal direct supervision.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE

• Hourly rate of pay based upon relevant experience to the role.

QUALIFICATIONS

Job Specific Knowledge

• Familiarity with aquatics industry


• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Experience

• Competitive swimming background


• Minimum of 1year instructing swim lessons.


• Coaching experience preferred.

Communication/Organization

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to work with minimal supervision

Education/Certification

16 years of age and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (includes CPR/First AID/AED for the Professional Rescuer); or

• 18 years of age and Swimming Coaches Safety Training Certification (including First Aid) and American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification

American Swimming Coaches Association - Level 1 preferred

Associates Degree preferred
