Villa Sport Athletic Club and Spa in Roseville, CA is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to conduct group and private lessons in a safe, engaging environment.

You will motivate members to improve swim technique and water confidence, enforce safety protocols, and perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications include lifeguard or aquatic certifications, basic teaching experience, strong communication, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard Certification/CPR first aid required or equivalent
• Strong swimming proficiency and comfort in water
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Minimum 16/18 years of age depending on certification and licensing
• High school diploma preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct group and private swim lessons safely and effectively
• Motivate members to improve swim technique and water confidence
• Enforce safety policies and supervise participants during sessions
• Assist with related duties as needed and coordinate scheduling

POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to effectively conduct group swim lessons and individual swim lessons in a safe and responsible manner. Motivate members and guests to increase swim technique, comfort in the water are self-confidence. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE:

• $18.50 - $20.45 hourly, based on relevant experience to the role.
• In addition to an hourly rate of pay Swim Instructors will earn a $5.00 bonus for each private, semi-private and select group swim lesson serviced.
• 401K with dollar for dollar match up to 4%.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with aquatics industry
• Swimming proficiency
• Minimum of 1year instructing swim lessons preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Minimum 16 years of age and American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (includes CPR/First AID/AED for the Professional Rescuer); or
• Minimum 18 years of age and American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
• High School diploma preferred
