Job summary

Goldfish Swim School Needham is seeking confident, dependable Swim Instructors to teach life-saving water safety and provide a fun, supportive learning environment for children ages 4 months to 12 years. You’ll help families build confidence around water while following Goldfish’s play-based curriculum.

This part-time role offers paid training, opportunities for advancement, and the chance to join a team that values growth, professionalism, and making a real impact in families' lives.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Swim instruction, lifeguard, structured childcare, or teaching experience preferred (1–3 years).
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED and First Aid certification preferred (training provided if not yet certified).

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months–12 years using Goldfish's curriculum.
• Create a safe and positive learning environment.
• Communicate progress with families about swimmer's progress.
• Maintain pool safety.
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck.

Goldfish Swim School is looking for confident, dependable Swim Instructors who will play a key part in advancing our mission to teach all children how to be safe in and around the water! In this role, you're not just teaching kids how to swim. You will make a real, life-changing impact by teaching life-saving water safety skills, all while creating a fun, positive experience for families! Whether you're an experienced swim instructor, a lifeguard looking to stay in the water, or someone ready to take on a rewarding career, we'd love to meet you. Job Type: Part-Time Pay: $17 - $19 per hour Hours Required: Minimum of 2 shifts/week (shift length ranging from 3-6 hrs/day)

What You'll Do

• Teach swim lessons to children ages 4 months -12 years old using Goldfish's proven, play based curriculum
• Create a safe and positive learning environment
• Communicate clearly with families about swimmer's progress
• Maintain pool safety
• Be a supportive, professional teammate on and off the pool deck

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old
