Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking swim instructors and aides to teach and supervise swim sessions for members and youth. Must be at least 15 years old and passionate about helping children learn to swim.

Candidates should be able to obtain American Red Cross CPR certification and pass our in-water skills assessment. Responsibilities include providing a safe learning environment, encouraging students, recording progress, communicating with parents, and collaborating with the aquatics team.

Qualifications

• Age 15+
• Experience with kids and passionate about teaching children to swim
• Ability to pass American Red Cross CPR Certification
• Ability to complete and pass our in-water skills assessment

Responsabilités

• Provide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn to swim
• Encourage and support students to provide an enjoyable aquatics experience
• Evaluate swimming skills; complete progress reports for each session; complete communications for parents
• Participate as a part of the aquatics staff team in providing a safe and enjoyable environment
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required
