Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is looking for Swim Instructors or Instructor Aides aged 15+ who are passionate about teaching children to swim. You will help create a safe, fun learning environment where members build confidence in the water.

You’ll gain communication and leadership skills while earning, with flexible schedules and benefits in a supportive, non-profit setting. CPR certification and in-water skills assessment are required.

Qualifications

• Age 15+
• Experience with kids and passionate about teaching children to swim
• Ability to pass American Red Cross CPR Certification
• Ability to complete and pass our in-water skills assessment

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn to swim
• Encourage and support students to provide an enjoyable aquatics experience
• Evaluate swimming skills; complete progress reports for each session; complete communications for parents
• Participate as a part of the aquatics staff team in providing a safe and enjoyable environment
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required

What is needed for this job as our Swim Instructor (Or Instructor Aide):

• Age 15+
