Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a Swim Instructor Aide to help create a safe, engaging learning environment for swimmers of all ages. The role emphasizes communication, leadership, and responsibility while supporting a successful pool season.

Ideal candidates are at least 15 years old, enjoy working with kids, and can obtain American Red Cross CPR certification along with passing our in-water skills assessment. Join our team today.

Qualifications

• Age 15+ required.
• Experience with kids and passion for teaching children to swim.
• Ability to pass American Red Cross CPR Certification.
• Ability to complete and pass in-water skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment that allows members and participants to learn to swim.
• Encourage and support students to provide an enjoyable aquatics experience.
• Evaluate swimming skills; complete progress reports for each session; complete communications for parents.
• Participate as a part of the aquatics staff team in providing a safe and enjoyable environment.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.

What is needed for this job as our Swim Instructor Aide:

• Age 15+
• Experience with kids and passionate about teaching children to swim
