Job summary

Goldfish Swim School in Frederick, MD is seeking part-time swim instructors with leadership opportunities within 3-6 months. You will teach water safety and core swim techniques using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.

Paid training with a set weekly schedule, growth opportunities, and inclusion in staff events are provided. We offer advancement potential and free swim lessons for children and siblings.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to complete lifeguard, CPR & AED certification class as part of training and work scheduled shifts as a lifeguard.
• Ability to perform job functions in a warm, humid setting and chlorinated pool.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Educate students on safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents.
• Evaluate students’ progress and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills.
• Use problem-solving and creative thinking to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
• Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment and materials.
