Job summary

Goldfish Swim School – Columbia is hiring year-round swim lesson instructors. You will teach water safety and swim techniques using our curriculum and communicate progress to parents after each 30-minute lesson.

Opportunities for growth into leadership roles exist, with paid training and a supportive team culture. The role is part-time, with consistent weekend/weekday hours, and eligible for benefits such as training and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to swim and complete a basic swim test.
• Able to communicate progress to parents.
• Willing to participate in ongoing training and workshops.
• Availability for part-time shifts including weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on curriculum.
• Evaluate students’ progress and document it.
• Communicate with parents about development.
• Maintain pool equipment and assist with class setup.
• Perform lifeguard duties and light cleaning as needed.
• Attend workshops and training sessions outside regular hours.
