Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach water safety and swim techniques using our curriculum. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, positive learning environment for children and communicating progress to families.

The role requires at least two years of swim instruction experience, lifeguard/CPR/First Aid certifications, and a willingness to attend mandatory trainings outside regular hours. On-site position with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Two or more years as a swimming instructor required.
• Experience as a lifeguard, youth coach, camp counselor or childcare provider preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Enforce safety rules and perform rescues and first aid when needed.
• Evaluate progress and complete paperwork.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student development.
• Serve as an ambassador to ensure parental satisfaction.
• Inspect pool areas for maintenance and cleanliness.
• Maintain pool equipment and lane lines as needed.
• Complete required documentation and attend mandatory trainings.
