Job summary

Goldfish Swim School - Silver Spring is hiring year-round, part-time swim instructors with leadership opportunities within your first 3–6 months. You will deliver engaging water-safety lessons and help children achieve their goals while earning a reliable schedule.

Paid training with lifeguard CPR/AED certification included. Weekday lessons end at 8:00pm, no late nights; great pay $18-$20 per hour, plus opportunities for advancement and valuable work experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Lifeguard/CPR/AED certification to be earned during training

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
• Educate students on safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
• Evaluate students’ progress and complete required paperwork
• Interact with parents/guardians on activities and development of students’ swim skills
• Perform light cleaning duties such as window washing, deck mopping, trash removal etc.
• Attend occasional mandatory workshops and in-service training outside of regular working hours
• Fulfill other duties or responsibilities as assigned by your employer
