Job summary

Goldfish Swim School Bethlehem is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to deliver lessons under our curriculum and ensure student safety. You will interact with families, monitor progress, and support a positive learning environment.

The role requires availability for at least 12 hours per week, a minimum age of 16, and strong interpersonal skills. Training is provided and growth opportunities exist as the school expands.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with children.
• Ability to work with parents and families.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
• Available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week (12 hours).
• Minimum age 16 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Enforce safety rules and administer first aid when necessary.
• Evaluates students’ progress and completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Interacts with parents/guardians on activities and development of students’ swim skills.
• Acts as a GSS ambassador to ensure parental satisfaction.
• Uses problem solving and creative thinking to resolve challenges for students.
• Inspects pool areas before/after classes for issues and reports to management.
• Maintains and stores pool equipment properly; places/removes lane lines.
• Reports accidents and incidents and completes required documentation.
• Performs Deck Teacher duties as needed.
• Performs light cleaning duties and restocking as needed.
• Attends required workshops and in-service training outside regular hours.
• Fulfills other duties assigned by the Employer.
