Job summary

Goldfish Swim School Bethlehem is seeking a part-time Swim Instructor to lead instructional activities and ensure child safety during classes. The role involves engaging with children, coordinating with parents, and promoting a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities include following the curriculum, documenting progress, performing light pool and facility duties, and attending trainings. This role offers flexible hours and opportunities for advancement within a growing franchise.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week (about 12 hours).
• Minimum age requirement of 16 years.
• Ability to work with children.
• Ability to work with parents and families.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum.
• Enforce safety rules and perform rescues and first aid when needed.
• Evaluate students' progress and complete paperwork timely.
• Interact with parents/guardians about progress and development.
• Act as a GSS ambassador and ensure parental satisfaction.
• Use problem solving to address challenges students encounter.
• Inspect pool areas for maintenance or cleanliness; report issues.
• Maintain storage of pool equipment and arrange lane lines.
• Report accidents and complete required documentation.
• Perform Deck Teacher duties and light cleaning as needed.
• Attend mandatory workshops and trainings outside regular hours.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Employer.
