Job summary

YMCA Chicago is seeking a Swim Instructor to teach swim skills to kids and adults, helping them gain confidence in the water and to deliver excellent customer service to members and guests.

Qualifications include being at least 15 years old and possessing YMCA Swim Lessons or ARC Water Safety Instructor, CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen certifications, or completing the YMCA Aquatics Academy training program for certification.

• Passion for working with diverse youth and ability to provide high-quality instruction with age-appropriate practices.
• Meets physical qualifications required for certification in job.

Child Abuse Prevention - Supports the YMCA’s commitment to child abuse prevention by

• Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
