Job summary

Emler Swim School in Indiana is seeking a Deck Manager / Team Manager who will lead on deck and in the pool, supervise hourly staff, and train instructors to deliver safe, high‑quality lessons.

You will coach teachers, support families, manage scheduling and performance evaluations, and uphold safety standards while helping students build confidence and a welcoming community.

No aquatic experience required; we will train you to be a certified swim pro and grow with our leadership team.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a passion for working with children.
• Positive energy, strong communication, and natural leadership.
• Available for a consistent schedule including weekdays and weekends.
• Physically active and able to be on your feet, in the water, and moving with purpose.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team on deck and in the pool, supervising and training hourly staff.
• Coach instructors and serve as a lead instructor for safe, high‑quality lessons.
• Celebrate student wins and monitor progress in the pool across ages.
• Support families and ensure customers feel confident and cared for.
• Stay organized with scheduling, performance evaluations, and enrollment goals.
• Upload and enforce our safety standards for staff and students.
