Emler Swim School in Olympia, WA is seeking a Deck Manager/Team Manager to lead a dynamic team on deck and in the pool, delivering high‑quality lessons and exceptional customer service.

You're a natural leader with a passion for working with kids, ready to mentor instructors, support families, and drive a safety‑first culture. Training is provided, and opportunities to grow with the program abound.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a passion for working with children.
• Positive energy, strong communication, and natural leadership.
• Love helping others grow—support nervous children and new teammates.
• Available to work a consistent schedule, including weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends.
• Physically active and able to be on your feet, in the water, and moving with purpose.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team on deck and in the pool; supervise, support, and train hourly staff.
• Coach instructors and serve as a lead instructor; mentor swim teachers to deliver safe, engaging lessons.
• Celebrate student wins by observing and encouraging progress in the pool across all ages.
• Support families to ensure each customer feels confident and cared for.
• Stay organized by assisting with scheduling, performance evaluations, and enrollment goals.
• Upload safety standards by modeling and enforcing a safety-first mindset for staff and students.
