Job summary

Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is seeking a Transportation Maintainer 3 (Sweeper Operator) for District 1 in Farmington and Willington, CT. The role involves safely operating a sweeper and other heavy equipment, with daily maintenance and safety checks in the District 1 area.

The position requires CDL Class A or B with tank endorsement and a Medical Examiner’s Card, plus readiness for winter overtime and emergency duties including snow removal.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in maintenance, construction, or related field involving operation of mechanical equipment.
• Ability to operate and maintain heavy equipment and safety systems.
• Willingness to respond to emergencies including snow and ice removal during winter months.

Responsibilities
