Job summary

Town of Plainville is hiring a Roadways Maintainer/Truck Driver to join our Roadways Department. You will operate trucks for snow plowing, hauling debris, and assist with road construction and repairs to keep our town safe and well maintained.

This is a full-time, outdoor role with a 40-hour work week and overtime opportunities. Requires a high school diploma, at least two years of truck driving experience, and a Connecticut CDL with a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of truck driving experience, preferably with heavy equipment.
• Valid Connecticut CDL and clean MVR.
• Able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• Experience in vehicle and road maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks for snow plowing and hauling debris.
• Perform seasonal roadside and drainage maintenance.
• Assist with the construction and repair of town roads.
• Contribute to vehicle maintenance.
