Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead the Wealth Services Platform Cloud Nerve Center. This leader will establish production environments, engineering patterns, and operational capabilities to migrate WSP applications to the cloud securely, efficiently, and at scale.

The role coordinates across security, resiliency, connectivity, modernization, automation, FinOps and governance, with accountability for enterprise-wide outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or equivalent experience.
• Extensive leadership experience in cloud/platform infrastructure within a regulated enterprise.
• Deep expertise in a major public cloud, cloud networking, security, containers, IaC and automation.
• Strong knowledge of multi-region resiliency, disaster recovery and cloud edge technologies.
• Executive communication and stakeholder-management with ability to translate technical decisions into business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the Cloud Nerve Center roadmap and translate modernization priorities into engineering outcomes.
• Lead cloud security, edge capabilities, private connectivity, and zero-trust controls for WSP apps.
• Establish resiliency, observability, capacity planning, and incident-readiness standards.
• Deliver reusable landing zones, IaC modules, migration playbooks, and operational-readiness standards.
• Improve cost transparency and savings through autoscaling, rightsizing, and FinOps practices.
• Ensure cloud capabilities meet cybersecurity, regulatory, audit, data protection and governance requirements.
• Align senior stakeholders, mentor leaders, and foster automation and reuse.

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems

Executive leadership experience

Cloud, platform, infrastructure, SRE or production engineering experience

Deep expertise in public cloud platforms, cloud security, containers, automation

Multi-region resiliency and disaster recovery knowledge

Executive communication and stakeholder-management
