Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior Engineering/Developer to lead the architecture and evolution of enterprise platforms, including Secrets Management and access governance. You will drive modernization for scalability, resiliency, and security while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant, high-availability solutions.

A proven leader will mentor engineers and guide strategic technology investments.

Qualifications

• 9-11 years of experience in software development or technology infrastructure engineering.
• Extensive experience designing, building, and supporting large-scale enterprise platforms.
• Strong understanding of access governance, entitlement management, identity and access management (IAM), or related security domains.
• Proven ability to architect highly scalable, resilient, and secure solutions for complex integrations and high transaction volumes.
• Experience with modern application architectures, cloud technologies, distributed systems, and hybrid/public cloud environments.
• Demonstrated success leading complex technology initiatives across engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, engineering, and strategic evolution of RME and Secrets Management platforms across the firm.
• Drive platform modernization to enhance scalability, performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and applications teams to deliver secure, compliant, and highly available solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for strategic transformation, including public cloud expansion and enterprise modernization.
• Influence technology direction and investment decisions by collaborating with senior stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen platform stability, reduce operational risk, and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, promoting accountability and technical excellence.
