Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking a Sustaining Engineer II to maintain and improve existing firearm products, ensuring quality, performance, and on-time delivery.

You will troubleshoot production issues, implement design improvements, and coordinate changes with cross-functional teams including Quality, Operations, and R&D. The role involves root cause analysis, value engineering, and optimizing assembly processes; documentation of changes using CAD and PLM systems to meet customer and engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline with 3-6 years of experience.
• Knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5M-2009.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SOLIDWORKS; basic Monday.com knowledge.
• Experience with data analysis programs.
• Enrolled in Shainin Red X and/or Six Sigma certification.
• Strong ability to resolve complex mechanical issues in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and identify root causes for production issues across firearms products.
• Implement product improvements and design changes using SOLIDWORKS and Agile PLM.
• Support transition of new products from R&D to production.
• Use project management techniques to meet timelines.
• Create product drawings using GD&T and stackup analysis; ensure interchangeable parts and conformance to requirements.
• Coordinate with R&D, QA, and Operations to ensure feasibility and optimization for manufacturing.
• Review non-conforming materials and lead rework coordination.
