Job summary

Sustainable Comfort, Inc. (SCI) in Worcester, MA, seeks a Property Manager to oversee field maintenance for a diversified portfolio from development through operations.

You will coordinate routine maintenance, plan improvements, and manage crises in collaboration with the Property Manager and subcontractors. Responsibilities include documenting maintenance operations, controlling costs, and ensuring timely responses to tenant and owner concerns, while aligning with owners' goals and asset

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, real estate, business, or related field.
• Field experience in building trades (labor, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry).
• Passion for real estate development, building operations, architecture, construction, or urban planning.
• Proficiency with technology including mobile devices, computers, apps, and software.
• OSHA 10-Hour Card within 90 days of employment.
• Valid driver’s license in Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

• Interpret tenant requests by assessing urgency and reasonableness.
• Address maintenance needs in a timely, cost-conscious manner; report progress to stakeholders.
• Document all maintenance operations and update policies to ensure defensibility.
• Seek to minimize expenses; ensure staff and subcontractors stay within budgets.
• Provide input on asset plans and capital needs; complete tasks as required.
• Monitor employee performance and drive portfolio improvements.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and set expectations with the team.
• Foster positive relationships with property owners and tenants; respond to needs.
