Job summary

Sustainable Comfort, Inc. (SCI) in Worcester is seeking a Project Manager – Multifamily Property Maintenance to oversee maintenance operations across our portfolio.

You will coordinate technicians and subcontractors, prioritize needs, and communicate with property owners, tenants, and the SCI team to keep properties well maintained. Ideal candidates have a degree in construction management or related field, field experience with trades, strong organization, and proficiency with cloud-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, real estate, business, or related field.
• Field knowledge of building trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, general construction, or maintenance).
• Interest in multifamily real estate and sustainable buildings.
• Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, or maintenance staff.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Customer service oriented with tenants, owners, contractors.
• Proficient with computers and cloud-based software.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day maintenance across a portfolio of properties.
• Assess tenant requests for urgency and scope.
• Coordinate technicians, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Keep stakeholders informed of progress, delays, and costs.
• Oversee property improvements and maintenance projects.
• Develop procedures for inspections and emergency response.
• Document maintenance operations and track work.
• Monitor expenses and keep projects within budget.
• Support capital planning and asset management.
• Supervise maintenance staff and conduct performance reviews.
• Build relationships with owners and tenants through proactive communication.
• Collaborate with property management team on issues.
