Job summary

PAE seeks a motivated Plumbing Design Engineering Intern to join our team in New York, NY, and other major office locations. This 10–12 week paid internship offers hands-on experience in sustainable engineering design, including plumbing layout, non-potable reuse, CAD/Revit, energy modeling, and site visits.

Ideal candidates are 3rd year undergraduates in Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering with a passion for sustainable design and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3rd year undergraduate student preferred Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering major.
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry.
• Passionate about sustainable design solutions.
• Effective Communicator.

Responsibilities

• Design layout of plumbing systems.
• Onsite non-potable reuse and nutrient recovery systems.
• Water data (WUI) analysis.
• Electrification of domestic hot water systems.
• CAD and Revit.
• Energy modeling.
• Design calculations.
• Construction administration and site visits.
• Cost estimate review/preparation.
• M/E coordination schedule.
