Job summary

PAE CONSULTING ENGINEERS INC is seeking a motivated Plumbing Design Engineering Intern to join our Boston office. This paid, 10-12 week internship offers hands-on experience in sustainable building design, CAD and Revit, and collaboration with engineering teams.

You'll design plumbing layouts, work on non-potable reuse, water data analysis, electrification of hot water, energy modeling, site visits, and cost estimates, with mentorship and exposure to Living Buildings and advanced building

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a 3rd year undergraduate in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering.
• Interest in sustainable building design and energy/water efficiency.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn CAD and Revit software.

Responsibilities

• Design layout of plumbing systems
• Onsite non-potable reuse and nutrient recovery systems
• Water data analysis (WUI)
• Electrification of domestic hot water systems
