Job summary

PAE is seeking a motivated Plumbing Design Engineering Intern to join our team in New York, NY, or other major offices. The role offers hands-on experience in sustainable building design and exposure to plumbing systems, CAD/Revit, energy modeling, and construction administration on real projects.

We look for a 3rd year undergraduate student in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering who is passionate about sustainable design and an effective communicator.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Interest in sustainable design solutions.
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry.
• Effective communicator and collaborator.

Responsibilities

• Design layout of plumbing systems.
• Onsite non-potable reuse and nutrient recovery systems.
• Water data (WUI) analysis.
• Electrification of domestic hot water systems.
• CAD and Revit work.
• Energy modeling.
• Design calculations.
• Construction administration and site visits.
• General project timeline/overview.
• Specifications.
• Site Visits/Site Observation Reports.
• Cost estimate review/preparation.
• M/E coordination schedule.
