Job summary

PAE seeks a Plumbing Design Engineering Intern in Seattle, WA, or another major office location, to join our building design team for a 10–12 week paid program. You’ll gain hands-on experience in sustainable engineering design, from layout to site visits, with exposure to CAD and Revit, energy modeling, and water systems analysis.

You are a 3rd year undergrad in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering, passionate about sustainable design, and an effective communicator eager to learn the

Qualifications

• 3rd year undergraduate preferred.
• Civil/Environmental/Mechanical Engineering major required.
• Interest in Building Design industry and sustainable design.
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry.
• Effective communicator with team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design layout of plumbing systems.
• Onsite non-potable reuse and nutrient recovery systems.
• Water data (WUI) analysis.
• Electrification of domestic hot water systems.
• CAD and Revit support.
• Energy modeling.
• Design calculations.
• Construction administration and site visits.
• General project timeline/overview.
• Specifications.
• Site Visits/Site Observation Reports.
• Cost estimate review/preparation.
• M/E coordination schedule.
