Job summary

PAE seeks an Electrical Engineering Intern to join our design team in multiple cities, including San Francisco. The paid 10–12 week program offers hands-on experience in sustainable building design under senior staff guidance.

You’ll perform load calculations, NEC reviews, PV and renewable energy research, and CAD/Revit tasks on live projects. This on-site role favors a 3rd year undergrad with a passion for sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3rd year undergraduate student preferred.
• Desire to work in the Building Design industry.
• Passionate about sustainable design solutions.
• Effective communicator.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Load Calculations/Block Loads.
• EZ Power Crash Course participation.
• Schematic Design Narratives development.
• NEC Review participation.
• Renewable Energies exploration.
• Research PV, Wind, Fuel Cell technologies.
• Layout/design/calculations of PV System.
• Emerging Technologies (BIPV, level III car charge, CIGS PV).
• CAD and Revit usage in design.
• General project timeline/overview.
• Specifications writing.
• Site Visits/Site Observation Reports.
• Cost estimate review/preparation.
• M/E coordination schedule.
