Job summary

Johnson Controls in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Construction Project Manager for its Sustainability Infrastructure Building Solutions & Technologies business. You will oversee construction management, ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and within scope, while maintaining strong customer and subcontractor relationships.

Responsibilities include cost estimating, scheduling, change management, and active involvement in safety programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture or an Associate’s Degree with equivalent work related experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry.
• Demonstrated ability to travel; projects may exist outside of assigned geography.
• Proficient in Project Management software and financial accounting systems.
• Strong PC skills in MS Office, MS Project, and Windows environment.

Responsibilities

• Self-performs cost estimating, project scheduling and construction management of assigned projects.
• Manages profitable execution of projects to ensure on-time, on-budget, and within scope.
• Develops and maintains customer and subcontractor relationships.
• Provides monthly reporting of project financial status and forecasts.
• Establishes and adheres to a Project Execution Plan for each project.
• Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow.
