Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Sushi Clerk for the Hy-Chi department to deliver exceptional customer service while ensuring food safety and freshness. You will take orders, prepare and replenish products, and maintain clean, organized work areas throughout fast-paced shifts.

In this role, you will monitor product quality, assist customers by locating items, and work with a team to keep the department running smoothly. Prior food safety certification and some related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Six months or more of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide outstanding service.
• Take customer orders at counter and over the phone.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness and supply levels.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and keep work area clean and organized.
• Label, date, and check in products; remove trash promptly.
• Anticipate daily product needs and assist in production planning.
• Order product and supplies as necessary.
• Work with teammates to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code and policies.
