Hy-Vee is seeking a Sushi Clerk to join our Hy-Chi department in a fast-paced setting. You will fill customer orders, prepare fresh product, and keep the department running smoothly with strong attention to sanitation and customer service.

The role emphasizes smiling, helping customers, accurate product handling, and teamwork across Store Directors, Managers, and department leaders. A high school diploma and food safety certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Safety Certification required.
• Six months or more of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and deliver outstanding service.
• Take orders at the counter and over the phone.
• Assist customers with locating products and carrying items.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness and supply levels.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products from cooler/freezer as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and keep work area clean and organized.
• Label/datel items and remove trash promptly.
• Create production lists to stay ahead and order supplies as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code, hygiene standards, and policies.
