Job summary

Hy-Vee's Hy-Chi department seeks a Sushi Clerk to fill customer orders, prepare fresh product, and keep the department running smoothly. You’ll focus on food safety, freshness, and friendly service to enhance every customer's visit.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, taking orders by phone or at the counter, monitoring stock, preparing and replenishing items, labeling and dating, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Use basic math for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy department.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders, at the counter or by phone. Build rapport and provide helpful service.
• Review orders and monitor product freshness, appearance, and stock throughout your shift.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish product; label and date items.
• Maintain sanitation and keep your work area clean and organized at all times.
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed.
