Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Sushi Clerk for the Hy-Chi department. You will help fill customer orders, prepare fresh products, and ensure the department runs smoothly daily with emphasis on food safety, freshness, and friendly customer service.

Ideal candidates will deliver attentive service, work in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to a positive shopping experience for every customer. Night and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Food safety certification required.
• Six months or more of similar or related experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift items.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide outstanding service.
• Take orders at counter or by phone; assist with product location.
• Monitor freshness and supply levels throughout shift.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products as needed.
• Follow sanitation procedures and keep area clean and organized.
• Label, date, and store items properly; manage waste disposal.
