Qualifications

• 1 year of surveying experience or more.
• Familiarity with survey tools and terms.
• Ability to operate Total Station, GPS and data collection devices.
• Willingness to travel and perform field work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all surveying instruments and devices for various survey assignments.
• Place marks, stakes, pins, and monuments on site.
• Drive stakes to fix survey points and determine location data.
• Measure distances with survey tape and read data accurately.
• Obtain angles, distances, elevations and describe data collected.
• Verify levels, alignment and elevation for construction.
• Keep accurate notes, records, and sketches documenting work.
• Participate in basic layout and field engineering activities.
• Maintain field equipment and replenish supplies for the crew.
• Work with the Party Chief to meet project goals safely and efficiently.
